Friday Folders
Your child will be bringing home their first Friday folder today!
- These contain all the graded paper work from the week. Make sure to check your student’s workbooks for those additional grades.
- All grades are updated on MiStar throughout the week.
- Please sign the log on the back of the folder.
- If you choose, you may send back 1 piece of work that you would like saved. We will be making portfolios at the end of the year.

Learning Calendar
Scholastic Literacy
We have the privilege of getting to try out two new ELA curriculums this year: Scholastic Literacy and Wonders. The district is looking to update the ELA curriculum for next school year and we are one of the pilot classes that gets to sample both. We will be beginning Unit 1 in Scholastic next week. There will be no spelling test or comprehension quiz at this time.
Fun Run

Cougar Families!!! This is just a friendly reminder that our 2023 Fun Run is quickly approaching! Friday September 22! If you haven’t done so already, please register your Arno student/child! And please share your child’s link with friends and family! This is our main fundraising event of the year and all of the funds we raise helps us to host events like mom/son night, daddy/daughter dance, bookfair, Christmas events (magic with Santa or this year, Snowball!), field day, and family fun nights…also, we’re still looking for volunteers to help us out on the day of Fun Run, to pass out water, man the icecream truck and/or help cheer on our kiddos and direct them around the playground. Links to sign up are below. Please make sure your iChat form is filled out and turned in to the office before Friday! And as always, thank you for your support!

Big Ideas Math – Chapter 1 Test Friday 9/22
Check out the letter below for more information about what we have been learning in math class! The class will take their first test on Friday. They will come home with a completed and corrected review on Thursday. There are also great review questions at the end of the chapter in the book if you wish to use them.
